8.24.18 Called the police to come and issue a ticket to violators parking in front of my house in a no parking zone school zone and I get a slob of a community officer a Garcia come to my house and issue me a parking ticket for blocking the small piece of sidewalk in front of my house while I unload groceries DID NOT Issue the ticket to the car who I called about instead gave them enough time to move their car. This is what you get for calling the police in this beautiful city we live in infested with heroin and drugs and murders take a look at how fat the cops are here Wonder why there so much crime. 2.19 During the Aurora tragedy they thanked every surrounding police department except West Chgo Ha wonder why because our police are too busy pulling people over or too busy writing tickets. How sad

worst police ever do not care about truth only care about getting locking people up as quick as possible no evidence no problem heres a go to jail complaint you can sign. Id like to give this review no stars the same amount some of these officers should carry in terms of badges.

Commending the excellent work of the West Chicago police and related investigators on finding and arresting the teens involved in the August 14, 2018 murder of Luis Guerrero. This was a crime of shocking proportions in our community that was brought to an amazingly quick discovery and arrest of the perpetrators. Great work West Chicago police! Proud of you!

I had an injured raccoon wandering on the property, so they tell me to call animal control. I do so. Animal control explains that if it's in the city boundaries the police Dept have to come out. So I call the police Dept back and they tell me I have to call a private party animal trapper to come out.. At my expenses of course. All the meantime I have local children riding their bycyles up and down the block. By the way, this is after putting on hold for 5 minutes. Needless to say I corralled the animal away to the woods behind our property. Who's job is it again to keep the neighborhood safe.... apparently not the police Dept.

I never understood as to why so many people give this department a bed review. I have interacted with law enforcement from this department on multiple different occasions. I have never had an issue with them. They have always done their job professionally, they responded promptly whenever called ,and as for mr. Swanson's review I would like to assume they only contacted him to come in and give a statement to the law enforcement officers. Because, it would help them build a case against anyone who is stealing credit card info as mentioned in his review. More often than not Police like to get statements from victims. Because, if they're going to go before a local judge to get a warrant so then they can make arrests and catch the bad guys so to speak victim statements help expedite that process.
