Let me start with I have waited too long to write this review. I would give Dr. Barrett and her office 10 stars if I could. I came across Dr. Barrett in my search to help my son who has had horrible anxiety for many years and no medicine has helped. I decided to go a different approach and it is the best thing I ever did. Since day one it was clear Dr. Barrett is a truly caring and compassionate person who is passionate about her work and helping people. She believes in getting to the root of the problem and not just treating symptoms like most doctors do. Her knowledge in what she does amazes me! She made my son feel comfortable and is great about explaining what she is doing and the reasons for doing them. After testing and realizing my son had several deficiencies and genetic snps we have been working on resolving or supporting those issues. There has already been huge improvements!! I myself see Dr. Wang for female issues and she too is fantastic. The whole office is friendly and helpful and I actually look forward to visits. If you are on the fence don't be, this is the place to come. I plan on being a patient for years to come!!

I have struggled with my sleeping problems for over 15 years and have tried many sleeping pills. Most of the times, those pills did not work well for me. My daughter went to see Dr. Barrette and strongly suggested I do as well. I followed Dr. Bennett's advice on diet and supplements after some lab tests, I have resolved a problem that is of vital importance to me in just a short period of several months. I am deeply grateful to both my daughter and Dr. Barrette.

Dr. Wang is wonderful. She was able to cure a health issue I'd been struggling with for some time that no other doctor - dentist - ENT (even UCSF) was able to resolve. She's thorough and kind and knowledgeable. The office staff is great, too.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the physicians at Walnut Creek Naturopathic, specifically Dr. Heather Barrett, as well as Dr. Corrine Wang. I am a fellow medical practitioner in the area who has a long track record of referring my patients to this practice. Time and time again, I've sent patients along to Dr. Wang or Dr. Barrett when they need the type of naturopathic care I can't provide, and every time, I see my patients get better results when these awesome naturopaths are part of my care plan. Because of my close relationship with these doctors, I can attest to how deeply and genuinely they care for the well being of their patients. They decided to tread away from the conventional medical path because they have big hearts and curious minds, and they wanted to do better for people than what was being offered at the conventional level. That dedication, and the constant attention to improvement, is what has resonated in my work with them. I know these talented women truly honor each individual they cross paths with, and I feel completely safe trusting them with the care of my clients.

Most amazing healthcare experience yet! Dr. Barrett and her staff have exceeded our expectations in every way. My husband and I are both patients and are being treated for chronic conditions. Our progress is showing favorable markers, and we believe that the care and protocol we are following under Dr. Barrett's precise guidance is making all the difference. This has been the best and most comprehensive practice we have been patients of, and we are seasoned patients of alternative medicine! We could not recommend Dr. Barrett and her staff more highly. It has been such a blessing for us!

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
