After a change in insurance I had requested a transfer of prescriptions from Winn Dixie to Walgreens for my daughters diabetes supplies since Walgreens and CVS were the only 2 pharmacies the insurance had listed on their members page. On 8/2 I had not heard anything about the prescriptions so I called to verify the transfer had been completed. The woman I spoke to said no and that she would get it taken care of the next morning. Today, 8/6, I went to Walgreens to pick up the prescriptions (test strips, lancets, and Novalog Insulin) only to find out that the transfer hadn't been done still after I was assured it would be taken care of no later than 8/3. The woman working called Winn Dixie and determined the fax number was incorrect so Winn Dixie got the correct number and faxed it over immediately. After waiting another hour, the pharmacist, Henry, informed me that he couldn't fill the insulin because there were no directions. At this point Winn Dixie's parhmacy was closed and I informed Henry. He said that he had just spoken to the pharmacist a couple minutes prior so he would try and reach him. I know Winn Dixie's pharmacy shuts down their phone lines promptly at 8 so that was a lie. Since the pharmacist was too lazy to do his job over the 4 days between the 2nd and 6th by following up on why the prescriptions were not received, my daughter has to go without her insulin. Henry had the nerve to get an attitude with me when I pointed this out. This pharmacy staff is extremely unprofessional and Henry doesn't need to be in the position he is in and neither does the woman who was there. Both have been incompetent in handling this matter and this isn't the first issue we have had here but unfortunately this is the only pharmacy that's open late enough to fit my schedule that accepts my insurance. Corporate will be hearing from me.

Pharmacy customer service personel extremely rude. Went to refill medication for my husband and received horrible customer service. The manager tried to ease the situation but was not really concern at the fact that the lady attending the counter gave us an attitude before he got there and didn't hear the way she Rudely conducted herself and told my husband that he couldn't refill his medication as directed by the doctor and she decided to assumed and make the comment of how much medication he was allowed to consume. We have been customers for 2 years and will not be visiting this store any longer.

In the past i and my two children Were followed around the store like at any moment we are going to steal something everytime we walked in to shop... ( something i would and have never done) We even stopped shopping at this store due to the racial profiling that seems to go on after dealing with it for 10 yrs.. The staff are usually 15 yr olds that would rather talk to eachother then do there jobs.... But during the scariest time of all of our lives (hurricane) I made a call to check to see if they had something that no other store in the county had and Vickie did something amazing... U are our hero Vickie and we will never forget you. I have had my faith in my neighborhood walgreens restored. Thank you....

If I could choose 0 stars I would. The website says 24 hours. Apparently they changed the hours to close at 11pm. I drove to the pharmacy window at 10:40 to fill my 2 years olds medication after sitting for hours in the emergency room. A Chinese guy came to the window and said it was too close to closing time and they had just gotten another prescription to fill. He would not fill it. He told us we should drive to Tarpon Springs. He would not even look at the prescription to see if it was something that could be filled quickly. That is horrible service.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
