Not impressed by the prescription service. Had to stop there after a visit to the ER for a prescription. They took over 30 to fill it knowing my whole family was waiting for this to leave and continue our trip. As for the rest, it your usual Walgreens.

I had 2 disposable camera developed at Walgreens, Castro Valley. I picked up 2 packages; however, one of the package had the wrong pictures. Apparently, the pictures where misplaced with another person's pictures. I was told there was going to check and call me back. Two weeks latter, I called to inquire the status of missing photos. I spoke to Nancy, the Assistant Manager, and she told me that she was going to follow-up the investigation. Nancy called back within two hours to let me know that she was calling up all the customers who had brought photos for development same day to make sure they did get the right photos. Fortunately, Nancy found the missing photos same day!! It meant a lot to my daughter as the pictures were part of her outdoor school class. Nancy deserves commendation for following up and resolving the problem. She certainly went above and beyond her duties! THANK YOU NANCY!!

Worst pharmacy around....long lines with poor customer service. The pharmacist was inept. After waiting 3 hours for a new script to be filled, he announced that the MD ordered only 1 tab for me. I retorted, "Doctors don't write scripts for ONE pill." He told me to calm down, and then filled the script for 30 tabs while I waited some more. NEVER going back.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
