Review by LR T

When we learned of a functional medicine doctor in the area with good reviews, we were so encouraged to finally find a caring physician who may be able to provide a treatment plan for our son especially since traditional medicine had not been successful. Upon providing their office with the requested list of additional physicians and all information on the intake forms per instructed to the best of our ability our son was abruptly dismissed without explanation or consideration. While Dr. O’Brien certainly has the right to choose or select whom she treats there are much better and more considerate ways to express and communicate these decisions. Deeply offended and disappointed in a doctor lacking in empathy and a willingness to allow her patients to share opinions explain the process and work together. Arrogance and harshness come to mind.

Dr. Tricia has changed my life! Never has a doctor taken the time to make sure I understood what is going on in my body. At every appointment she is engaged and excited! Always eager to celebrate my growth and ready to help me tackle new challenges. She has been the first doctor in my life to say WE are going to work as a TEAM and find the best course of action. She has delivered on every word! I finally feel like I am in control of my health.

When I first met doctor O'Brien, it was like a breath of fresh air. I learned what my body does and doesn't do on it's own, and how to make food my friend instead of my enemy. She told me it would be hard work and she was right but feel like a brand new me! I have Dr O'Brien to thank for my new outlook on my health. I'm so thankful for her!!

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
