What a great addition to our city! The shop is so aesthetically pleasing, great vibe. The owner is extremely helpful and you can tell that they are excited about getting the community informed. Thrive Apothecary collabs with some of my other personal fave local spots in Fort Worth which is incredible and another reason to love them. I am excited to see this small business flourish & have huge success! Highly recommend you stop in for some treats for yourself or your best friend (with paws) they have products for pups as well!!!

THIS.PLACE.IS.GREAT. Owners are the most down to earth, honest, and informed people. They know and love their CBD products and can assist you with any needs and questions you may have. They're very passionate here, and that's the kind of thing you only see at a local shop like this. I hope they're here for a long time, as I plan on being a lifetime customer.

Came here a few weeks ago to find some help for my dogs. One was paralyzed (an accident that turned south) and the other has pretty severe arthritis. I was skeptical but willing to try just about anything. The woman working was incredibly helpful and understanding of my skepticism but helped me find a product that was perfect for testing it out. There was a huge difference. Huge. Less growling, a gentler demeanor in the mean one. Less wincing. Incredibly helpful woman and place of business. Will be returning.

Searching for a quality CBD product brought me through the doors of Thrive Apothecary. Lovely shop with a warm inviting atmosphere. The young lady who was on duty was a pleasure to talk with and she knows her CBD products. After listening to what I was looking for she showed me several options without the need to ‘sell’ one or another. There is indeed something for everyone and various price options. I left feeling very good about my purchase. Check out Thrive Apothecary you won’t be disappointed. Juliet

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
