I had a very nice experience at the Botanist. The inside is classy and welcoming, staff was friendly and helpful, and the selection was very diverse. They have products sourced from a number of cannabis producers around MA as well as their own products. You can kind of "visit" 3 dispensaries in one by stopping into this shop. There's ample parking, which is a bit rare for RMDs in Massachusetts so far. They could do a little better in terms of accessory selection, but I'm rarely shopping for that kind of thing in the dispensaries anyway. No cards accepted, but there's an ATM on site. It wasn't crowded when I was there, so I spoke with three staff members while selecting products and all were helpful and polite. I'll definitely swing back through when I'm in the area again.

Medical only.... But WOW. This place has dazzle pop and shine! Terpenes to smell, knowledge to share, and product! Concentrate! By the 1/2 gram and reasonably priced so you can get a variety to try. Devices including a couple Vapes and glassware. Very nice staff, most are also patients.

Unique strains, new strains, rare strains. This dispensary is a must see, and try. Fantastic open store, relaxed environment, kind staff, quite knowledgeable, the prices are a about average. Just to give an example of their selection, wedding crasher, la kush cake, chemdawg #4, lemon skunk x gramestomper, good luck finding that anywhere else in mass, and this place just opened up.

Pretty nice dispensary right in Worcester. We only live a minute away from a different dispensary in Leicester, but we make the drive to the Botanist instead. I haven't tried much of their flower (a couple of prerolls) but we buy a lot of their concentrates. They usually have a very good variety of products and strains at average to slightly below average prices. I like that they sell concentrates like shatter, wax, and sugars in ½ gram packages so we can usually pick up a few different varieties (indica heavy at night and sativas for wake 'n' bakes) each time we stop in. We've always received fantastic service and never had to wait in line. They carry house strains and INSA products. As of this writing, they don't sell distillates in syringes for refilling your own vape cartridges, but otherwise they've always got a great selection of products. They can't take your bank card, but there is an ATM on-site with a $2.50 fee.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
