Review by Steve Shalloway

First, let me start by saying I do not write reviews. I've maybe written 2 in my lifetime. This place is horrible. My son was sick and this was the first time he had gone to Snohomish Valley Holistic Medicine. Our appointment was for 2pm and we needed to be there by 140pm to fill out paperwork. We were not seen until 245pm! The Dr's patient before us came out of the room at 205pm. Why did it take 40 minutes for us to be seen!? Also, the front desk girl left right after the other patient was done being seen. She did not say one word to us besides to tell us to fill out the paperwork when we first came in. She didn't say anything about when the Dr. would see us or that she was leaving. Nothing. Just walked out. When we finally saw Dr. Bowker it was just extremely awkward. She wouldn't make eye contact, seemed socially awkward. She was incredibly rough with my 15 month old!! I understand it's probably hard when a Dr is trying to check out a baby who doesn't want to be touched, but come on! She was trying to force his mouth open! My husband said he could feel the force of her trying to open it. I should have told her to stop! You would think as a pediatric Dr they would be a little more gentle or just not do whatever it is the child doesn't want them to do! Respect the child and their boundaries/privacy. Then, she did tell us what we could do for his cough, but it was just awkward. She pretty much just told us to give him honey. I understand that he has a bad cough...not much you can do about that...but the way she talked was just so weird. Like she had no confidence in what she was doing. And then it ended so awkwardly. We were thinking to ourselves...um, so are we done here? Should we get up? There was no conclusion. She just sat there...So we got up and walked out and that was it. I will never be going back to this place. I really wish it would have worked out. The place is nice and all. It's clean. I guess I'll just be driving 35 mins to go back to our previous Dr before we moved.

About Monroe, Washington

Monroe is a city in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. It is located at the confluence of the Skykomish, Snohomish, and Snoqualmie rivers near the Cascade foothills, about 30 miles (48 km) northeast of Seattle. Monroe's population was 19,699 as of the 2020 census. Monroe was originally founded in 1864 as the town of Park Place, located at the river confluence among several existing settlements in the Tualco Valley. The townsite was previously a trading post used by the indigenous Skykomish people. Park Place was renamed to Monroe in 1890 to honor U.S. President James Monroe, and was moved northeast to be near the tracks of the Great Northern Railway, which was constructed in 1892. Monroe was incorporated in 1902 and was selected as the home of a major condensed milk plant and the state reformatory. Monroe became a suburban bedroom community in the late 20th century, serving commuters to Everett, Seattle, and the Eastside. It is home to the Monroe Correctional Complex, which absorbed ... What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
