Dr. Smith does a great job making sure I understand why I am doing what I am doing to make myself better. He really gets to know his clients and is always available to talk. I feel much healthier partly because of his care.

Review by Anna Peeler

Dr. Smith is an excellent chiropractic internist, and provides outstanding nutritional counseling based on labwork, symptoms, and medical history. If you are looking for a truly holistic approach and ways to truly improve your health beyond just taking medications, this is the place to go.

Dr. Smith is always so welcoming and flexible with my crazy schedule. Not only has he helped my neck and back become stronger but he is one of the best wellness doctors I’ve ever met.

Dr. Smith has been working with me for almost a year. I am grateful that I was introduced to him. From my perspective, he is practicing functional nutrition of the most current, in-depth, scientific knowledge there is today. He is a perpetual student and teacher as so much is unfolding in the world of health and nutrition. I truly trust him to address system issues at the mitochondrial level. An example of many...my A1C has dropped while Dr. Smith has been treating me, quite a feat after spending years working with my diet and exercise to prevent me from becoming a type 2 diabetic (family history of diabetes). Another significant issue was my sleep. I wasn’t sleeping for years and really didn’t know what it was like to sleep through the night but now it’s unusual if I don’t sleep. It’s made a significant difference in my quality of life. I will continue to work with Dr. Smith as issues come up with my health and I feel confident they will be addressed.

I have been seeing Dr. Smith for a few months now and I am very pleased with the progress I have made this far. He is a chiropractic internist, the only one I could locate in Louisiana. Not only does he address physical issues but nutritional issues as well. He is patient and takes the time to listen to his patients to get a full understanding of the problem. He is also extremely kind and professional. I made the right choice when I selected him to help me fix my issues!

About Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Baton Rouge ( BAT-ən ROOZH; French: Bâton-Rouge, pronounced [bɑtɔ̃ ʁuʒ]) is the capital city of the U.S. state of Louisiana. Located on the eastern bank of the Mississippi River, it had a population of 227,470 as of 2020; it is the seat of Louisiana's most populous parish (county-equivalent), East Baton Rouge Parish, and the center of Louisiana's second-largest metropolitan area, Greater Baton Rouge. The Baton Rouge area owes its historical importance to its strategic site upon the Istrouma Bluff, the first natural bluff upriver from the Mississippi River Delta at the Gulf of Mexico. This allowed development of a business quarter safe from seasonal flooding. In addition, it built a levee system stretching from the bluff southward to protect the riverfront and low-lying agricultural areas. Baton Rouge has developed as a culturally rich center, with settlement by immigrants from numerous European nations and African peoples brought to North America as slaves or indentured servants. ... What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
