I was so pleased with the sunglasses that I had made at Pro Style Optical, that I immediately knew where to go when I was searching for a new pair of eyeglasses. Sylvie is extremely knowledgeable and professional, and very nice to work with. She really helped me narrow down my ideas to find the best looking frames, and takes the time to make sure that they are properly fitted. She does beautiful work, and I know that I have a high quality pair of glasses that will last a long time. Thanks Sylvie!

Sylvie has been our optician since 2000 when we moved to Lubbock. We will never go anywhere else for glasses. Can't imagine anyone more knowledgeable on anything "glasses" than Sylvie. The shop is nicely done and Sylvie and Daren have the most up to date, complete stock of frames around. For an expert opinion on styles, looks and fit I recommend checking out the Putmans!

I went in just to get my glasses adjusted and was greeted with one of the genuinely nicest customer service experiences I have had in years. I should also add that three other eyewear locations in Lubbock could not properly adjust my glasses, while a fourth other refused to touch them. As long as I am in Lubbock, I will go no where else for my corrective eyewear needs. I have bought frames all across the U.S. and Europe throughout my life and have never had a truly great customer service experience like I had here as far as glasses go. -- I went in my first time to get my glasses adjusted. I was helped out by a very nice gentleman who took my glasses and spent about 10 minutes trying to adjust them. When he realized they need to be fixed, he took them to the back and happily repaired them for me and came back to fit them. He informed me that if they ever broke I shouldn't worry because they can actually rebuild glasses to an extent. My second visit was to ask about more information on fixing my back up pair of glasses (which were completely broken at the time). This time I was serviced by the owner of the establishment who answered my questions with a tour of her business. I'm not saying this will happen to you, but what I am saying is that the owner herself went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. She did so of her own accord. As I have already stated once before, due to my experiences here, I will go no where else in Lubbock for my corrective eyewear needs.

NEVER AGAIN!! I brought a 2 year old pair of Sama Eyeglasses I had to Pro-Style because they were just slightly too tight behind the ear. I paid $700 for the Sama frames, which are a well known boutique eyeglass brand. The owner, Sylvie told me it was an "easy fix" and she would just have to heat the earpieces....after a 45 minute wait (which was fine, because I didn't have an appointment) she brought the glasses out....in 2 pieces!!! 2 pieces!! She overheated them (which of course she didnt admit to) and told me that my occasionally leaving in my car in heat/cold caused them to "stress fracture" when she heated them. To "remedy" the situation she offered to put my lenses in a pair of Harley Davidson, Candies, or Oh La La frames...you know totally equivalent ones to my $700 Sama Frames. Sylvie then told me that she stopped carrying Sama years ago because they just weren't quality frames....which made total sense, when I saw that she carried Candies, True Religion, and Harley Davidson frames, but my handmade in japan, boutique frames were "poor quality." To top it off, this whole ordeal took 3 hours! 3 HOURS! Never again. I understand when people make mistakes, it happens. But to 1). not own up to her mistake 2). then to tell me my glasses were "poor quality" and 3). its my fault that the glasses broke, was totally UNBELIEVABLE!!

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
