This place is awesome! Not only are the acupuncturists here incredibly knowledgeable, but they are all very laid back and easy to talk too. The treatment rooms are very relaxing and I find myself wishing I could lay there all day with needles stuck in me! I've been getting my treatments done by Erik Smith (I was referred to him by my P.T. actually...called him a "magic man"...I'd have to agree). When I first went to see him, I had a stress fracture in my lower leg that had me in incredible amounts of pain all of the time. I was shocked at how much the pain subsided in just one treatment. I continued to see him throughout my recovery process as I started training again and I am certain I would not have healed anywhere near as quickly without his help. I now go in to see him whenever I feel the onset of an injury. I've also just recently been to him to help me get over some stress-induced insomnia. He was magical again there too- got me right back on a normal sleep schedule. He has supplemented some of my treatments with Chinese herbs when he thinks it will help, but never pushes them to jack up the cost of the visit (which I have experienced with other acupuncturists). As an athlete, I need people who I can depend on to help me when my body isn't cooperating. Erik is definitely one of them.

I love this facility and LOVE Erik!! He is a very kind, supportive, compassionate and caring practitioner and the office is peaceful and quiet! He has a gently touch and is very knowledgeable in every aspect of health, nutrition and movement. He has helped me to be able to participate in numerous half marathons over the past few years. I always leave the office feeling physically better and much calmer!

I have been going to Points of Health for the treatment of various issues for over a year now. Erik has proven extremely knowledgeable about everything I have shown up with! He is attentive, responsive, and nurturing; it is obvious that he really cares. Through a regimen of acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and healthier eating, I have seen improvement in a number of areas. My husband has found Erik's nutritional guidance to be positively life-changing (no exaggeration). I highly recommend Points of Health!

The traditional chinese medicine they gave me left me with severe stomach pain.

I came to Points of Health because of a lower back injury, then a subsequent shoulder re-injury. Erik was amazing! He healed me in record time, allowing me to go full-bore on my long-planned, epic surf trip in Costa Rica! Thank you, Erik!

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
