Review by Jillian Meggett-Nagy

In June of 2017 I hurt my lower back at work. I had excruciating pain on the right side that made lumbar area and hip hurt. Additionally I had numbness and tingling in the groin area. After almost 2 years of injections, branch blocks, and pain medications I was told by my pain management specialist that surgery is not an option for me. It was very depressing to here. I decided that I would try alternative therapies. Acupuncture, Massage, and Chiropractor along with physical therapy. I simply googled all 4 and came across the Wellness center. The staff is kind and accommodating. My first week of treatment I could not lay flat on my stomach even to get Ice treatment or massage. I only lasted 3 min before having to get up. They adjusted me and lasted me on my side and it felt tolerable. I had not realized how many ways I changed my behavior and lifestyle to compensate for the pain. After 2 weeks of treatment 3x a week I was able to lay on my stomach. It is still a work in progress but I now feel hopeful that I will recover. 💖

Walked in and was greeted amazingly by staff!! Nicole (massage therapist) immediately comes over to massage and place warmer on back or area that is bothering you. Dr. Jeff, Dr. Dave and Dr. Steve are a joy to be around. They interact with not only the patients, but the guests that tag along. They make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. I’ve been to many doctors, but the Pain Relief and Wellness Center is the only one I look forward to my appointments!! Keep up the great work guys!!!! See you at the next appt

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
