Dr. Ross is a fool. We all know bad doctors exist and this is one of them. Wasted my time. I have been a medical cannabis patient of 6 years now. I have never had a problem in the past renewing my Rx. I went to Dr. Ross for the convenience factor, and was even going to spend more money due to that convenience. He didn't even evaluate me, and while in the waiting room I over heard him saying he forgor his glasses. How does one come to a medical practice they run with out being able to see? Anyway, when I my appountment started he didnt even look over my primary doctors documents. He looked at me up and down and judged me on my appearance. After seeing him I wanted yo make a complaint to the front desk. However, he came out making threats, so I left. This doctor doesn't care about his patients only about his pockets. Make the drive to see someone else. You'll take me.

Review by JoAnne Mansell

My experience with Dr. Russ was excellent. Due to chronic pain, I was advised to check into medical cannabis to avoid the horrible side effects of my prescription pain medications. I was losing weight, combating nausea most of the time, and had trouble sleeping. I have no experience with marijuana beyond smoking a few joints experimentally in the early 70s. I was very impressed with Dr. Russ and his staff. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, not a "Dr. Feelgood." I filled out extensive paperwork in the waiting room. I was told that I needed to bring evidence of my condition that qualified me, and so I brought a summary of my health status from my regular doctor. I was also told that I'd need my California driver's license. Dr. Russ was professional and kind. He reviewed my medical records, and spent quite a while asking me questions about my medical history and current symptoms. Then he explained what cannabis could and could not do medically. He told me about the different strains, and reassured me that I did not have to smoke or inhale vapor to get the results I wanted. Then he did a physical examination before recommending that I give marijuana a try. He gave me the document that I would need to legally buy cannibis, and his receptionist provided me with a brochure of a service that deals only with senior citizens. They bring the products to you in the privacy of your home. I am delighted to report that I have been using a tincture of the active ingredients in an atomizer that I squirt under my tongue. I also have a chocolate caramel bar that I break into eight parts and eat one to help with sleep. The directions for the tincture said to use 3 pumps for a 10 mg dose, but I've found that one pump is all I need. My quality of life has dramatically improved. I haven't had to take any of my prescribed opiate since I began using cannabis two weeks ago. I've been eating much better, and sleeping much better. My nausea is better but not 100% gone. I feel more positive and able to deal with my symptoms. I recommend Dr. Russ to anyone who is seeking relief, not just wanting to get high without a hassle.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
