Review by Nizar Nassar

Small unkept office, overcrowded with an overlyarge table and disgustingly stained seats. I brought my mother here who has just underwent knee replacement surgery, seeking alternatives in pain management. Being a skeptic of marijuana medicine I had hoped our visit with a 420 doc would alleviate her of her doubts. Behind the counter 3 young men sat silently glued to their phones. We filled out the forms and were ushered into a room with an open laptop on a desk. To my surprise the doctor met with us via Skype while he was driving. He went over the basics, and gave his recommendation and that was it. Super sketchy, completely unprofessional and from what I recall from when I used to use medical marijuana some years ago, heavily overpriced. We paid $55 for a half year recommendation, it's $80 for a full year and the doctor wasn't even there in person nor was he fully attentive enough to review any medical history or current conditions. If you're looking for a place that's a quick in and out with an uncaring doctor that won't even be present for your visit then go here. Just watch where you sit if you don't want to leave with stained pants. .

Staff is absolutely amazing. They aren't here to add $10 to this & an extra $25 to that. Prices are very reasonable, becoming a new patient or just simply renewing is super easy and you feel very comfortable. Definitely didn't get paid to add this review, I will for sure be back. Thank you ladies at the front (very knowledgeable) and thank you Doctor.

About Oakland, California

Oakland is the most populous city in and the county seat of Alameda County, California, United States. A major West Coast port, Oakland is the largest city in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area, and the third-largest city overall in the Bay Area. With a population of 440,646 in 2020, it serves as the Bay Area's trade center: the Port of Oakland is the busiest port in Northern California, and the fifth- or sixth-busiest in the United States. A charter city, Oakland was incorporated on May 4, 1852, in the wake of the state's increasing population due to the California gold rush. Oakland's territory covers what was once a mosaic of California coastal terrace prairie, oak woodland, and north coastal scrub. In the late 18th century, it became part of a large rancho grant in the colony of New Spain, and known for its plentiful oak tree stands. Its land served as a resource when its hillside oak and redwood timber were logged to build San Francisco. The fertile flatland soils ... Read More

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
