When calling NuCara you are always placed on hold and it can take up to 8minutes or longer until a customer representative picks up the phone. Hammers was open on Saturdays which made it very convenient for family members to take their aged parents there.

We have had a chair lift up and down our stairs, a 16 foot distance, in our home for over ten years. My father-in-law and my wife both had Parkinson's disablity and my Mother-in law suffered from arthritis keeping her from using the 16 steps. The old chair lift finally wore out and we needed a new chair lift. Craig from Hammer Medical took out the old chair lift and installed a new one. Took out the old lift and carried it off into the sunset after he had installed a new chair lift. We are grateful to Craig and Hammer Medical for their helping us and the new lift is the latest and best model available. If you have mobility needs you can trust and depend on Hammer Medical to assist you. John L. Prater.

I bought cane from their store on 2nd ave. about 10 yrs ago and they were very helpful then. Later I lost it so bought another one from their store in Creston, IA, but when needed replacement tip for it, they dont carry them? Why bother selling canes if you are not going to offer replacement tips? Since selling off the pharmacy part of the business the medical supply part has gone downhill when it comes to customer service. They dont even have a catalog on-site where you can look for a new cane since I cant replace the rubber tip on the cane I have now. No local stores carry them. I sure cant see driving all over the place trying to replace the rubber tip or even trying to find a new cane. EXTREMELY disappointed in both locations now.

I was running late on Saturday , I called & explained I was late , driving 80 miles one way to get a medical boot . I told them according to my gps ... 7 min. Longer. Well it took me 14 min. The person I talked to on the phone said she would wait & let me in. When I got to front door , I knocked , I seen her look out but she did not come out to let me in. I'm just a little ... no a lot upset because if she wasn't going to let me in , I would have turned around right then. It would have saved me my time - my gas , not to mention my throbbing foot that I could have gotten back home sooner to ice & elevate up. THANKS for NOTHING Hammer medical on 2nd Ave. DSM. Ia. Good customer service ... NOT !

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
