Review by R. F.

I am incredibly fortunate to have met Dr. McCarter to treat my digestive and gut issues. I was at a very low point three months ago - barely able to eat and malnourished - and since then, my health has steadily improved under her care. I have been able increase the amount I eat, and am feeling stronger and healthier day by day. She is an extraordinarily kind, optimistic, thorough, compassionate person - rare qualities to come by in a physician. I am very grateful for her support, care, and encouragement. I always look forward to our visits. She is truly a gem!

Dr. McCarter is incredibly compassionate, intuitive, and thorough. Even though we work together remotely, she is always available to answer any additional questions I may have and is always caring and extremely patient. She has a great bedside manner and is very positive and passes that along to her patients. She’s incredible and I’m so happy I found her as she has really changed my life!!!

I have had extreme health issues for 20 years that revolved around my digestion. I've tried many doctors and tests and anything you can think of spending literally thousands of dollars over the years, I think I finally got to a point where I could function but never felt great. Then in 2012 I got another digestion problem, which I found out was SIBO (very hard to get rid of). This got to the point where I could only eat chicken and rice and butter. Not to mention over these years I gained 30+ pounds from all this. Then I met Dr. McCarter. My insurance didn't cover but I spent the money after a friend of mine went to see her and raved about her. She had me do a digestion test and then treated me with supplements and diet. Well, that was since August, 2018. It's March, 2019. I have lost 30 pounds and my stomach continues to get better. Not only the new digestion problem but the old one that I gave up on. My hair is so healthy and long (it's been growing like crazy) and I've lost so much weight, people who know me have been stopping me and asking what I'm doing. Even Dr. McCarter was shocked at how I looked when she saw me last. I'm in my 50's and feel like a new woman, with my 30 year old body! I love her!! Thank you Dr. McCarter, I'm your biggest fan!!

After seeing numerous naturopathic doctors in the Bay Area for gastrointestinal/digestive issues, I thought that I would have to live with stomach issues for the rest of my life - that is until I met Nicole. With one of her specialties being in digestive health, she quickly got me on a plan that would ultimately lead me to have a very healthy and NORMAL stomach - without pushing unnecessary vitamins and supplements on me. Every step on my journey with her has been amazing. She is kind, knowledgeable, and truly wants to see her patients cured. I regularly see her for follow up consultations, and am now working with her on maintaining my gut health as well as balancing my hormones. I love working with Nicole and will continue to do so for many years to come.

Dr. Weigl's warmth, caring and patience are backed by extensive knowledge not just of many healing modalities but also of the body's systems, their functions and how these systems work together, or in my case, don't! She listens thoughtfully. She considers my unique set of health issues and life circumstances. She is responsive to concerns and questions. The complexity of my health problems doesn't intimidate or annoy her. Instead, she delves in with a slow, careful, methodical approach. And slowly but surely it is working, in part because she uncovers what most doctors never bother to look for. If you want a quick fix, she might not be for you. But, if you have a health problem our medical establishment doesn't yet fully understand (and misunderstands as a result), and you have the patience to be guided by her expertise, and to do research of your own, try her. I am grateful I did.

About Palo Alto, California

Palo Alto ( PAL-oh AL-toh; Spanish for 'tall stick') is a charter city in the northwestern corner of Santa Clara County, California, United States, in the San Francisco Bay Area, named after a coastal redwood tree known as El Palo Alto. The city of Palo Alto was established in 1894 by the American industrialist Leland Stanford when he founded Stanford University in memory of his son, Leland Stanford Jr. Palo Alto later expanded and now borders East Palo Alto, Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Stanford, Portola Valley, and Menlo Park. However, it also has a youth suicide rate four times higher than the national average, often attributed to academic pressure. As one of the principal cities of Silicon Valley, Palo Alto is home to the headquarters of multiple tech companies, including HP, Space ... Read More

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
