Mountain Wookies is touted by its psychedelic mural to be the "coolest store in the universe" ... and you know, maybe they're not too far off. It IS certainly cool. There are lots of neat things to find--lots of cool apparel and other hippie stuff. And of course the paraphernalia part of the store is pretty neat. I don't personally smoke, but a lot of people who come visit me do and I always enjoy bringing them to Mountain Wookies. The staff is comprised of cool human beings who are passionate about what they sell and they're all very knowledgable and helpful (I ask loads of questions because I'm the curious sort). It's a fun, quirky place to get that ubiquitous Colorado souvenir.

Friendly neighborhood catch-all head shop minus the goods. On the plus side, nice t-shirt selection.

I did NOT find what I wanted. They do NOT carry or order what I was looking for. Why 5-stars? The cashier was the best cashier I have had in at least a years time. He knew about everything I pointed to, told me about things that could be ordered, cost and how long it would take. He greeted me with a friendly hello and thanked me for stopping in AND even told me about drawings even though i was NOT purchasing anything. I will be back!
