I loved the place. I went there to learn about CBD as I'm not a fan of smoking ;) I do believe the benefits of the CBD, but I needed help to choose what is best for me Laura and Bri were super nice. Explained to me everything. And thought me about the different products. Thank you

Went in looking for an alternative for an anxiety disorder, after being prescribed Prozac and being too scared to take it and also spinal issues. Was given the go ahead by the doctor to schedule the appointment. Once I got there, he didn't want to prescribe me any THC, even though high THC is recommended for anxiety. Why then would he tell me to schedule the appointment to be told that he only wants to give me CBD? The only reason for this is to pocket $300 without helping the patient. I told him that I have spoken to a psychiatrist and he prescribed me Prozac but I am not comfortable taking it due to the possible side effects. He told me that Prozac is effective in treating anxiety and that I should take it. I wouldn't be seeking out alternative treatments if I wanted to take antidepressants. He then told me that THC would make my anxiety worse, and that he is prescribing me CBD. Again, why charge someone $300 if you are aware of the patient's issues ahead of time and if your believe that the patient wouldn't benefit from THC ahead of time? CBD can be purchased at any smoke shop, without paying $300 to see a doctor. Then, we go onto my back issues. My spine has been bothering me to the point where I've left work early several times, because I could no longer bend in any direction without screaming out in pain. This is then followed by several days of being bedridden. He recommended 20mg of CBD oil every 8 hours, and ignored when I told him that I've been taking 75mg every hour or two and am still in pain. He prescribed me a THC cream, and when I again mentioned that it isn't my muscles that are bothering me, it's my spine, he basically implied that it's the same thing. At this point, I was starting to feel cheated out of my money and I again brought up my pain, and his solution was to prescribe me a 1:1 inhaler, despite me never using an inhaler before and not knowing how. I leave a little frustrated and wait for my medical card to get approved. When it does, I go to a dispensary and they tell me that I need to call Miracle Leaf to open up my routes. When I called, they tried saying that it will be $70 every two months to keep each one of the routes opened. When I told the dispensary this, they told me they have no idea what I'm talking about and that they are supposed to open it for free and that they suggest I call corporate or try to get my money back. I have also called other medical marijuana clinics and they were all confused about what I was talking about, paying to have the routes opened. Of course, when we called Miracle Leaf, they refused to refund the money, but offered to assign me to another doctor and to waive the bogus route opening fee, but at this point, I am so disgusted by their shady business practices, that I have no desire to step foot in there again. I wonder how many unsuspecting victims they have done this to. I am reporting them to corporate, to Florida Department of Health and going to a legit business. This is an unethical way to run an alternative medicine clinic. They don't listen to or care about the patients, instead they run this business as a drug transaction, where only the highest bidder is offered help. UPDATE: Just got a call back and was told that this "prescription" is how every other doctor does it when starting a patient out. I've done my research this time, and no, they do not. And when I asked about the $70 charge every two months, she changed the subject.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
