I have been reading about growing mushrooms for my own personal use for a few months. I read lots of different opinions on how to get started. I planned on doing it all myself until I realized Midwest Grow Kits was only 40 miles away. I decided to drive to them and see what they were about. I ended up chatting with Kyle about my grow project and he was extremely helpful and really knew his stuff. I looked at the Ultimate Kit with 12 Jars and for the price, it honestly can't be beat. I shopped around before visiting Midwest and for all the equipment you get for $97 is a deal. It's great to be able to swing by and pick up supplies whenever I need them. They even offer many other products and parts not on their website. It's been 2 weeks now and my jars are almost 50% colonized and doing great! I've had to call the support line once and spoke with Emily, who quickly answered my question. Appreciate all the help and knowledge and wanted to post my experience for others to read! Cheers!

This company has earned my trust! They deliver on time and I've seen results! Greatest asset is their guides, which are very detailed and easy to follow.

These kits does not come with the spore syringe. I received the Ultimate Grow Kit for Christmas. I spent 2 days getting everything ready, watching videos, reading instructions, and getting the water heated to just the right temperature. Right when I was about to start innoculation I realized the kit has no spore syringes. I called the company to see if this was an error and they explained they only supply the kit, not the spores. I suggested they make that a little more clear since I spent 3 days researching and learning and never came across any info that says you have to buy the spores separately. The person on the phone said they get this request regularly but the change just "isn't going to happen". When multiple customers call about the same problem, a business should listen to their customers. All were asking for is a some clear transparency before we spend over $100 with your company.

I’ve bought several things over the years from these guys and never had any problems. Shipping is fast and the kits are quality and they work as advertised. Called in for advice and they answered the phone as well as all of my questions. Definitely recommend!

There a good company. There advice is not all that great but hey, at least they answer and try to help you with your questions. There spawn bags were ok but the last 6 of them I got had wet spots etc.....and they were a waste. I would not recommend there spawn bags. However.....there 24oz quick col jars are awesome!!!!! I highly recommend them to anybody! There jars are far beyond what others sell. These produce extremely fast compared to others. There kits are also very good compared to the others. After trying just about everything else on the market available for spawn bags and jars. I feel that Midwest has the best 24oz jars quick colonizeing 3-pack hands down!!! There kits are ok but there spawn bags suck!

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
