Steve Matcalf no longer owns the pharmacy. Kristy Henson is the manager and pharmacist. She is very knowledgeable and has been compounding drugs for 20 years. I highly recommend this pharmacy.

For several years I've been spending my summers in Brevard and I made sure that I had my prescriptions refilled by Steve Metcalf rather than locally ( on the Mississippi gulf coast). He has by far the best service and prices I've run across at any pharmacy.

This small time pharmacy has no oversight and is dangerous to its customers. I know many people can be lured in by the "home town pharmacy" mumbo jumbo but don't be fooled. This pharmacy is staffed by a pharmacist and pharmacy techs that would be fired from any respected chain pharmacy. The pharmacist Steve Metcalf is pompous and arrogant. He and his team and their "Compounding" should be shut down. They advertise "Filling Prescriptions since 1998" It should say "Learning nothing new about pharmacology since 1998". They are focused completely on billing you and your insurance for every dollar they can while hiding behind the "home town pharmacy" scam. Edit: I would like everyone to note how Mr. Metcalf used a 5 star review for his own business to respond to my review. Also one of his employees has given a 5 star review. These are just more dishonest practices from a dishonest man running a dishonest business.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
