I had a great experience at McDonald Optical. I was always helped soon after I walked in. Everyone was respectful and professional. The prices are great compared to some other places in Iowa City. I found a pair of frames and had my glasses in hand within two weeks. Plus, I got a huge student discount on my lenses. I think I ended up only paying $75 for them. STUDENTS, go here!

Had another amazing experience with McDonald Optical last week. Dr. Scott Collings is a wonderful addition to McDonald Team. Service was top notch....as usual. Wendy and Marty were very helpful it getting me new contacts, a new pair of glasses and getting my current ones adjusted. Hands down great experience as usual!

I've been doing my annual eye exams and ordering my contact lenses through McDonald Optical's downtown location for about five years and I couldn't be happier with the services provided. I've seen two optometrists there and both have been excellent and very, very knowledgeable. The reception staff is always friendly and helpful. They also have an excellent selection of women's frames. Highly recommended!

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
