I had my first experience with Donna today. I came in for a facial, but what I got was so, so much more. She is a highly trained acupuncturist and holistic healer. She did a thorough assessment of my skin and how it related to my overall health state, as well as the best approach to address the underlying cause of my skin concerns. I walked out glowing! I am excited to return for a full assessment and begin acupuncture treatment with Donna.

I've been going to Donna for a while now. She's been helping me with various issues. She has help greatly with a number of issues and I feel that I'm on the road to recovery. She is an excellent acupuncturist and healer. I feel very fortunate to have found her and highly, highly recommend her. Nancy

I have been seeing Donna for about 3 years, for various conditions including hormone imbalance, brachioradial pruritus, injury, ptsd and hair loss, just to name a few. She is an encyclopedia of knowledge; her understanding of Eastern medicine and how to translate it into terms that resonate with a western constructed mind, is not only impressive, but has absolutely solidified the respect and trust I have for her. There’s no way I would see anyone else.

Donna has been my new acupuncturist and Chinese medicine/nutrition doctor for the past 8 months. She has in depth knowledge of Oriental Medicine and helped me a great deal with my specific medical condition and my road to wellness in general. She also advises me on what to eat to strengthen special body organs that need to be nurtured. (So different from what our western “diet” school of thought tries to teach us). She is very detail oriented and caring. I also appreciate that her price is very reasonable as she understands that acupuncture and oriental medicine is often not covered by insurance (unlike in the rest of the world!), and that many sick people (unfortunately) open up to alternative medicine as their last resort. The KC area is so fortunate to have another great healer in the Eastern Medicine tradition, so not only Hollywood celebrities and “the rich and famous” get to benefit from this thousands of years old “new discovery”.

Kansas City, Missouri (KC or KCMO) is the largest city in the U.S. state of Missouri by population and area. Most of the city lies within Jackson County, with portions spilling into Clay, Platte, and Cass counties. It is the central city of the Kansas City metropolitan area, which straddles the Missouri–Kansas state line and has a population of 2,392,035. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 508,090, making it the 37th most-populous city in the United States, as well as the sixth-most populous city in the Midwest. Kansas City was founded in the 1830s as a port on the Missouri River at its confluence with the Kansas River from the west. On June 1, 1850, the town of Kansas was incorporated; shortly after came the establishment of the Kansas Territory. Confusion between the two ensued, and the name Kansas City was assigned to distinguish them soon after. Sitting on Missouri's western boundary with Kansas, with Downtown near the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers, ... Read More

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
