Dr Pate is wonderful...my son is on the Autism spectrum and has challenges related to autism....She has helped him so much! She spends time with the family, she has a wealth of knowledge that is vast, she researches to find out how to help your child. I would highly recommend her! My son is doing better with her care.

Unfortunately Dr. Pate doesn’t live up to the description on her website. She does not find the underlying cause of illness and doesn’t even come close to it. I went to her with symptoms and blood work (thyroid antibodies) that SCREAMED thyroid and she did nothing. Not to mention I was already diagnosed with SIBO and it’s common knowledge in the naturopathic community that thyroid and the gut are connected. I also showed her test results for estrogen dominance and that is ALSO common knowledge that is connected to thyroid and gut health. I also told her I lost 15 lbs in a short period of time and she told me it was stress (hyperthyroid symptom)!!! Guess what? Less than 6 months after seeing Dr. Pate. I was diagnosed with full blown autoimmune hyperthyroid. Wait... I thought Dr. Pate prides herself in preventing disease? Were there not enough clues for her to figure this out? I think there were, in fact it was like a siren horn blaring in her face but she didn’t take the time to see it. Not only that she offered NOTHING to address the estrogen dominance even though she knew both of my parents were diagnosed with hormonal cancers in the past year. I am getting real with you all and putting my private information on display bc I am sick and tired of Dr’s getting away with this CRIMINAL and IRRESPONSIBLE behavior. Dr. Pate is one of a string of Dr.’s I have seen in the New Orleans area that completely SUCK. Dr. Pate treated me exactly like a western Dr. would, she treated my symptoms and made NO attempt to get to the root of my illness. OMG and I have to add (and this takes the cake!!!) her “speciality” is autoimmune conditions and hormones!!!!! Lord have mercy are you seriously kidding me????!!! Is this a joke??? From Dr. Pate’s website: “Every illness has an underlying cause... Dr. Pate is trained to find and remove those underlying causes of disease. The overall goal of naturopathy is to PREVENT illnesses from developing into more serious, chronic or degenerative diseases and Dr. Pate educates her clients on the principles with which to live a healthy life so that they can prevent major illnesses.” I seriously have to laugh out loud at this statement. This is a sick joke.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
