Have been enjoying LDC since it's begins in 1978. The Victorian atmosphere and character is captivating. The variety of the menu is amazing . Food is wonderful. Selection of beers is well rounded as is the liquor. I moved from Lancaster several years ago but still come back to visit for our daughter and grandchildren live here and we always make a stop to LDC its became a family tradition. Many great memories . So glad to see it is back in it's glory after the fire .

I enjoyed grabbing lunch and a couple beers here while I was visiting Lancaster. The food and beers were delicious and the waitress/bartender was very friendly. The service was fast and it was a comfortable atmosphere. I even went home with a souvenir pint glass!

A good spot in a great location in downtown Lancaster! My girlfriend and I enjoyed our dinners, and the vegetarian chili was excellent. The only downside for us... it's very loud inside. A minor complaint. Our server did a great job, considering how busy the restaurant was (completely full at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon). We definitely plan to return!

First visit here in years and I was amazed and pleased! The place was crowded with an eclectic group of patrons...all ages. It's cozy, great service and a fabulous menu variety. Best of all, our food was great....yummy nachos and I built my own sandwich of ham, provolone, pineapple and tomato on grilled pumpernickel.....WOW! The macaroni salad side was tasty and obviously made in house. All complimented by a Yuengling lager, or two!

Such a shame giving this place a one star review. I used to love coming here for drinks. The atmosphere was cozy and was one of the most relaxed bars in Lancaster. However since the fire they switched staff and the new staff is rude and provide terrible customer service. I ordered a martini at 1130 at night and the bartender was rude and made comments that it wasn’t an easy order to fulfill. This was a cocktail on the menu! We met up with some friends and were having a good time laughing and talking when we were told to settle down and it wasn’t even 1am! This is a bar not a library. Frankly while the place looks the same it definitely isn’t the same. The new Lancaster dipco is a sad disappointing shell of it’s former self.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
