Review by Lonny Rosenblum

Joan and I have been working together for some time now and I treasure every session we have. She has helped me explore and start resolving a lot of childhood trauma as well as how it reflects in my current everyday life. She is an excellent listener and offers thoughtful insight that has been helping me grow as a person. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with her and I would highly recommend her as a therapist.

Joan has been a godsend to me. Meeting nearly a year ago, I arrived at her office with anxiety and a short history of panic attacks following an illness. I’m normally not one who easily shares my feelings, so I was surprised at how easily my thoughts spilled out during our sessions. In the privacy of her office, Joan made me feel comfortable, safe and important. Joan uses a holistic approach to healing, incorporating various forms of therapy including somatic experiencing, a form of guided meditation. This practice has allowed me to go deep into my soul, reaching places I didn’t know existed and coming up with surprising and incredibly beneficial results. Her compassion and genuine desire to help me work through each issue is a constant source of comfort. And has given me the courage to keep digging and growing. I can honestly say my life has dramatically changed since working with Joan. Through her gentle guidance, I have found great sources of inner strength, self-confidence, renewed motivation and overall happiness. I feel so fortunate to be working with her and would highly recommend her.

As someone who was just looking for a little support with their anxiety/depression, I finally decided to turn to therapy. Being one who always likes to go the holistic route I decided to give Joan a call. Not only was she dismissive of me but she seemed very focused on how I was going to pay... I told her I wouldn't be working until end of march because I got hired at my dream real estate company but I didn't tell her I own various properties. I am a landlord and have been in the real estate game for a while now. She asked "well how will you pay if you don't have a job until march?" "It's $150 a session, that's $600 a month" I told her there would be no problem paying and after I said that she said well I'll call you back....never called me back. Shame on you for being so rude and cruel...if you were truly someone that cared about helping people in need you wouldn't have acted that way. Money hungry cow. Good thing is I found an excellent thterapist in the city so all smiles here. I even told her about my phone call with Joan and she thought it was disgusting.

Joan is a very caring and supportive individual. She tries her best to make her patients feel comfortable talking to her no matter what the situation is. Joan has helped me through some of the hardest times in my life. She offers extra care by calling and reaching out during a time of crisis in order to make sure you are alright. She uses many techniques in order to help you look deeper into yourself and grow and improve as a person. For example, cognitive behavior therapy, meditation and doing some work deep inside the body. In addition, she is very easy to talk to. If you're looking for someone who is hardworking and good at what she does you should set up an appointment with Joan.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
