Spent quite a bit here and really tried giving them a chance, but there is a serious disconnect between Ilera and the patients from what it seems. The employees are nice and I like the location, but that only goes so far when I keep seeing other dispensaries get product I never see here. Ilera flower is alright, but not worth what they charge compared to the other options. I also agree they are not as generous as some other growers with the amounts. Seems like they have good genetics, but need a little more TLC. I can only hope they get more non-Ilera products and begin to offer some actual deals. Seems like as of late they are cutting back on the deals, and sometimes it's not even a deal but just the regular price being advertised. The menu is also the least accurate out of any place I've been. What scares me is that they already had a few social media hiccups and I would say out of all the GPs, they are the only one I've seen referred to negatively in the least. Their reviews also echo this. You'd think they'd be trying extra hard at this point, but I just don't see it. For what we're paying, there's really no reason to expect anything less than a top notch experience from start to finish. Might try them again in the future, but there are numerous better options in a 20-30 minute radius that will take your time and medicine more seriously.

Ilera was the second dispensary I visited. It was easy to reach, located adjacent to the Turnpike and Blue Route in Plymouth Meeting, and the parking lot has ample spaces. The interior is bright, open and comfortable, with cannabis magazines and other reading materials while you wait—though the longest I have ever waited was 5 minutes. The staff are friendly and helpful, and can recommend a particular product that is suitable to treat your condition. If you know what you are looking for, you can order online. As with all PA dispensaries, you still have to go in person to pay and pick up your order, but it does save time. One final item worth mentioning is that Ilera accepts CanPay as a form of payment—an app on your phone links securely to your bank account. With CanPay, you complete the transaction by logging into the app and showing the QR code on the screen. Easy, safe, and no transaction or ATM fees!

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
