Not only does The Hemp Seed have an amazing selection of smoking supplies, accessories and CBD products; Ike is very knowledgeable and can certainly help you with anything you may need. If typical head shops are not your thing, I suggest you should give The Hemp Seed a honest chance because it is not a typical head shop. You will come to find they have much more to offer.

Essential head shop tucked away inside the arcade of a shopping building, right in downtown Friday Harbor. Staff are welcoming and very helpful, sometimes colorful characters can be found inside :)

I am visiting San Juan Island from California and wasn't sure what the laws might be regarding bringing my CBD / THC tincture on the plane, so I left them at home. I was happy to find this wonderful shop in Friday Harbor. Ike, the store owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to point me to two different CBD products to help me with sleep and with arthritis pain. he also offers other products of Interest.

I literally do not understand why someone would review "not my thing" without any further explanation. For my review i will base it on customer service, product quality and availability, cost and communication. Ike was very easy to talk to and offered help right away. He is educated on all the products and can help you find something that will help your needs. There is a wide variety of products and the quality was high as far as dosage variety and product ingredients. The cost is absolutely fair and competitive. I am from California and the prices here for CBD oil alone are astronomical. I bought a small jar of cbd paste like topical that i love. I also, ordered 1000mg cbd oil and muscle freeze. Ike shipped those products out to me the next day and i got them 2 days later. The products were packaged very well and secure. Hope this helps any reviewers out there needing some input and an honest review.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
