I’ve been a patient of Dr. McKenzie for more than 15 years. She has helped me with not only improving but also understanding my menstrual cycle, balancing my mood, and improving digestion and bowel regularity. More recently she helped me prepare for pregnancy in my 40s, supported me through my pregnancy, and continued to support me after I gave birth. I highly recommend Dr. McKenzie to anyone looking for a knowledgable, compassionate, and holistic doctor.

I originally went to Dr. McKenzie for shoulder and lower back pain. I experienced pain relief after my first treatment. I went for a series of treatment which involved acupuncture and cupping and now I go as needed. After the series of treatment, I am no longer on a pain medication. Dr. McKenzie also recommended diet changes to reduce or eliminate foods that cause joint inflammation. I also lost 15 pounds. She recommended supplements for asthma, now I am off my asthma medication. She also recommended diet changes and topical ointment for eczema. Now the the eczema behind my knees cleared. Everything she recommended, I followed and have had great results. What I appreciate the most is the patient education and individualized care.

I visited several doctors before trying acupuncture here. No one could help with my health issues except for Dr McKenzie! She took a lot of time to listen, get to know me, and formulate a specific treatment plan. I highly recommend.

Please beware! I came to her with my health issues and concerns and trusted her with my hospital records only to have her NOT return them and shred them without my consent. Every time I would visit with her she would constantly be looking at the clock, unconcerned about what I was saying just waiting to get paid. Her acupuncture was decent but there are plenty of acupuncturist who will care more about your health than she will! Please do not waste your money here, find a professional who will actually care.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
