By far the classiest shop in Alaska. They have the best prices and products in Alaska for sure! They’re always having some sort of sale or deals everyday on Weedmaps and Leafly if you didn’t know download the apps and check out the deals section it’s well worth it. The budtenders are very knowledgeable and eager to help. The atmosphere is outstanding I feel like I can stay there all day. Ask for Daniel and he will definitely hook you up!

This was my first time in a cannabis store. I have no desire to smoke weed, nor can I with the type of work I do, however, I went in looking for CBD products having no clue what I needed. Garrett saw me rolling toward the door in my wheelchair, opened it for me and I informed him this was my first time and I had no idea what I was doing. I was, however, hell bent on getting some gummies because that's what seemed "normal" to me. After explaining that not only was pain an issue from my recent ankle surgery, but at night I get anxiety and insomnia from "cast claustrophobia". He strongly recommended the drops, but he also recommended a lower dose than what the bottle suggested (maybe because I'm new to it?). I bought 2 bottles of the oil and one bag of gummies just to give them a try, but dollar for dollar, the drops are definitely more economically friendly. I took 12 drops with dinner and within an hour or so I felt chill AF and just a tad tired, like I'm about to have an amazing night's sleep. It could be the big day I had getting my stitches out and as new cast on, but I'm hoping it's the product working. Either way, the service was exceptional and the cost was acceptable. Very very happy and I'm sure I will be back if I truly see results! Thanks Garrett and Great Northern!

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
