I've had nothing but problems with this pharmacy. I'm in a program that requires me to use Genoa so my meds can be bubble packed. Prescriptions have been called in and not filled. Medication is not in stock, has to be ordered. Common medications. The delay between me getting my medication, after the prescription is called in, is to long. There not open on weekends. Trust me when I say don't use them. Going back to CVS ASAP.

I have relied on this pharmacy for some time, as it is conjoined to my therapist's building, but now I question whether I want to switch phamacies. I had intended to pick up my new prescription the other day while also disposing of my discontinued one. While waiting for my pick up, I tried giving the medication bottle to the staff where I was met with sharp retort. They said after they give out a prescription, they cannot legally take it back. I told them that I have given back plenty of discontinued prescriptions in the past. This is where the head pharmacist began a five-minute long, borderline harassing argument with me. She began telling me that none of their pharmacists has ever taken back medications before and demanded to know, as if I were making some sort of slander. I told her I would have no feasible way of knowing who had done it for me, as not many staff wear name tags. She kept snapping retorts and flagrant remarks like some offended parent, telling me that I was not telling the truth and that I needed to be quiet. I insisted that the front desk has assumed me that it was possible to dispose of medications at the location, and that was then a separate pharmacist informed me that it is the nurses that take old prescriptions. So rather than the much more reasonable decision of simply telling me this obvious fact, they felt it made more sense to demean their patients. Extremely unprofessional, very childish and vindictive. Again, instead of very easily and politely addressing the concern by telling me where and how to actually dispose of the discontinued prescription, they thought it was a better idea to argue with clients, somehow in order to maintain their reputation. I feel insulted and wronged. Not happy with this establishment anymore.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
