The price is the only good thing. The limited doctors you can see could care less about you, prescriptions that are medically necessary get put on hold because almost everything needs special authorization....Calling customer service just lets you speak to someone who can read a screen but not actually answer any questions. I can read. I don’t need them to read to me. I need them to answer my questions about what is written. The company just does not care about its customers. As a pregnant woman who plans on breaat feeding I called to ask how to get my breast pump. They informed me that I can not even submit my request until after the baby is born, then I have to wait on my doctors to fax them (Ha) a request and I will be mailed one. No one there knows the timeline for how long that could take. Why even pay people to answer customer calls if they don’t know any answers?

Just no. I cannot count how many times my family and I got screwed here via coding issues and unsavory insurance practices. Once my family had to pay for an entire month inpatient stay for close monitoring because a doctor didn't know the person's body couldn't absorb the particular medicine prescribed and didn't bother experimenting. I was insured here from birth to twenty two before switching to a direct primary care model. At FHCP I spent no more than 15 minutes face to face with doctors at appointments to express concerns/symptoms, it may be due to the poor quality of HMO plans but I feel that's just unfair as the cost is quite high. I'll explain just a few instances of issue. The pediatrician I was assigned since being a child didn't have any STD tests for routine testing for her older patients(16-18) although it is required, she also wanted to do a vaginal exam on me at only around 14 which I declined because I was not comfortable with the painfully draconian speculum. The care from 95% of the physicians I saw was improper or outright dangerous. I had a GYN order the wrong IUD and risk me getting pregnant because she let her staff do the order, she also did not do a US to see if my body could accommodate the device so I had debilitating pain for years before removal, she would not tie my tubes as requested citing some garbage about her regret for the kids I didn't want instead of doing her job. I had cystitis and was prescribed antibiotics with ABSENCE of infection by a doctor who was likely 75 filling in for someone else. I once had a doctor who clearly had a language barrier and I came in for pain in my abdomen(since diagnosed as mittelschmerz by a doctor who cares) could barely understand me, and in the checkout letter he wrote "she is not painful" although I was. The urologist I was assigned didn't know about biofilm accumulation from getting urinary tract infections and gave me cranberry pills for SYMPTOMS that have no medical basis instead of D-mannose which has been studied to prevent Utis. I found this Healthcare to be useless and overpriced for the occasional flu test or blood work. My family has had it worse than I however... receiving bills that were not accurate, being guided to a nutritionist who Googles everything, being misdiagnosed, if it could go badly, it did. Stay away if you can. I literally found one doctor who has competence here, out of about thirty.

This is THE WORST INSURANCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!! I AM PAYING 1600.00 A MONTH AND WAS JUST TOLD THAT LACRISERTS ARE A TIER 6 drug AND I HAVE TO PAY $500.00 A MONTH FOR THEM!!!! I was told when I signed up for this insurance I would be having a $75.00 copay as I checked the 2 drugs that I take before I bought the insurance. Now they say sorry it's a tier 6, Tier 6 is for cancer drugs etc... That is absolutely unacceptable. Then I find a coupon for Walgreens and am told that since I need pre approval for this medicine I cannot buy it at Walgreens where it is $465.00 cheaper.. Are you serious or is this the biggest joke for health care on the planet!

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
