I've had nothing but a great experience with Dr. Mortensen! His functional medicine approach to healing and gaining health is one I respect and appreciate its positive effect in my own life. He is a good listener and has helped me not become too overwhelmed with this process but to take baby steps forward in getting healthy from the inside out.

Dr. Craig saved my life - I truly believe those words to my core. I was first sold on him when we went to my initial consultation. I brought my husband, who was a skeptic in the realm of holistic health. We both walked out feeling that Dr. Craig was a competent Dr., and we believed he could turn my health situation around. This was no easy task as my health had been declining for several years, and we could not figure out why. Western doctors just wanted to give me steroids and other crazy meds. I was showing signs of a severe auto-immune disorder and my test results verified it. Dr. Craig made it clear that my situation was severe, and expressed the importance of my husband and I teaming up to do what was necessary to turn it all around. Over the next year working with Dr. Craig I listened diligently to his advice, took all prescribed herbs, implemented a wonderful new lifestyle change, and kept regular appointments so we could continue to tweak my regimen as necessary. I am so grateful for the numerous times he responded to my texts (even on the weekends) so he could help me with the crazy allergic reactions I was having. The autoimmune disorder was related to allergies, and, at the time, I literally could barely walk outside my house without having a reaction. Dr. Craig focused on the body and mind, proving that, overtime, taking the herbs, allowing regular naps (best advice ever), and changing my diet would pay off. I had spent over 35 years switching between holistic and western medicine, and as I grew older the condition had worsened. Six months prior to seeing Dr. Craig I even flew to Massachusetts to see another very well known functional doctor, Dr. Mark Hyman. Seeking a care professional that was in my own state, I found Dr. Craig - and it was the best decision ever to work with him. I can definitely say that Dr. Craig, along with my commitment to my health, has saved my life. I am now living a healthy, vibrant life, and I contribute it greatly to following Dr. Craig's advice, along with incorporating regular meditation into my day. Dr. Craig, I hope to never have to see you again. But if I do, you will be the first person I reach out to, even though you are two hours away. The driving and visits were worth it as I now have my life back. Thank you!!! Lastly, I cannot end this review without saying how wonderful the staff are at his office. I was always greeted with joyous smiles, and scheduling appointments was easy. I was treated like a person, not a number, and felt welcomed each time I went into the office.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
