I've been going to Chesapeake Apothecary for nearly nine months now and I've been comparing them to the other four apothecaries pot shops whatever in the southern Maryland area I find that it's hard to determine which is the best out of the top two and I have to say that Chesapeake Apothecary is batting number 1 by a hair. This should be taken as a compliment because I like to be fussy and it's hard to tell a number 1 and number 2 but thanks to both of them. The clerks Bud Masters know what they're talkin about their willing to take their time to talk to you and when you leave there you feel like you had a great experience and I'm walking a wave with a great deal of knowledge. Thank you all for everything and look forward to my next visit. If you haven't been there you should definitely try it I'm sure you'll also enjoy it. Hans

This is absolutely my favorite place to go. The staff, nothing less than awesome! Absolutely knowledgeable and passionate about their products! Would give more stars but unfortunately they only allow five! If I named them all I'd fill up the page but they treat their patients with care. I love you Chesapeake!

I had given this place a bad review about a month ago but I was mad or upset about my experience so I vented and have since been in there and they were awesome as usual ive always had great experiences here especially with there friendly and helpful staff so I just wanted to correct my bad review and give them the one deserved by all the hard working people who work there. There daily specials are usually unbeatable and generally a lot of items to choose from not just the usual one or two like others offer the quality is amazing as s well this place is worth a visit for sure

Best prices around on concentrate and flower. Super friendly people there too. Very comfortable waiting room and I personally love their layout. Make sure you sign up for their rewards system and text alerts too. They typically have 1 or 2 flash sales a day which include many different strains varying in potency. There are dispensaries closer to me but I drive out of my way for this location, especially for their price on concentrate. By far lowest in southern maryland. Open late too which is nice for night owls.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
