I had initially scheduled an appointment with a completely different doctor but the soonest they could book me was a few weeks later, I happened to reach out to these guys at a good time because I was able to see them the same day. I come from a background with knowledge and experience in the industry, but I actually learned quite a bit while at my appointment. Everyone was very welcoming, friendly, and had a great attitude. I worked closely with four different doctors in California while I was employed in the cannabis industry and none of them were as helpful with their clients as these guys were with me. I can’t speak for other Connecticut doctors but I highly recommend Canna Care in New London.

My experience at this Canna Care Docs facility was both professional and educational. The manager, Kara, went through the renewal process and required paperwork, then I met with Alisha, who thoroughly explained the various types of products available, and which were particularly useful for my specific condition. Joe was the computer guy, and he helped to explain my next steps to get renewal approval. And a friendly Dr. Henderson questioned me about my medical history, then checked me over. I left with a folder and a handbook feeling much more informed than I had at a different facility when I initially applied for the program. I went home to complete the necessary forms, and, computer limited as I am, had difficulty. Kara had said to "Come back any time if you need help," so I did. Joe cheerfully walked me through the confusing computer issues, and once again everyone there was cordial and welcoming. Whether you're new to the program or applying for a renewal, it's worth a drive to get this level of friendly service, help, and support.

I’d give this team 6/5 stars. I came in today for my first appointment, I couldn’t have asked for more- The wonderful lady at the front desk was more than helpful, she was able to get me in ahead of schedule. Then I went to the back to meet with Mr Joseph Stalsworth who gave me a lot of info pertaining to laws, best ways to consume, and how to log effects to suit my needs. Once I had finished with him he gave me a book containing everything we went over in case I forget. Last but not least, I saw Dr. Harry Anderson, who was very efficient, quick and very skilled at his job. He made sure all of my questions (I had a lot) were answered. I will recommend this fascility to my own friends and family, and you should too! I can not thank you all enough, you’re great! P.S. I highly recommend bringing a few dollars extra for a smellproof “skunk” bag. It keeps odors in and others out :)

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
