There is absolutely nowhere a person can go in Reading Pa, to receive Health Care, that is covered under the medical assistance card. I was given the impression when I phoned this clinic, that they would give me care. Unfortunately when I showed up, they suddenly tell me, that their not accepting any new patients. I hate to have to resort to using the emergency room, and burdening tax payers wt a huge bill, but I have no other choice. This is a follow up on my initial review. After over two hours of being on hold, when phoning them, my brother was finally able to have me seen at there location on Penn St.. I was asked to bring my medication bottles, and vitamins to the initial visit. I take the supplement Methlycobalamin B12. The reason I take it is because I have a brain injury, and the antioxidant, removes oxidants that form around my damaged neurons. Basically it's a cognitive booster. Anyway I explained this too the resident doctor, I saw. My insurance will not pay for me me to see a licensed physician. The resident pretended to understand, but still put in my chart, B12 deficiency. My blood work shows that I have high levels of B12, so how they ever thought I was deficient is absolutely beyond me. I am glad that I was able to be seen, but I wish I had more choices.

I wanted a doctor within walking distance. With Berks Community Health Center, Penn St. I found that and a lot more! I have a doctor, a podiatrist, eye doctor, dentist, therapist, nutritionist, and a wheelchair scale all under one roof! The doctors and staff are very professional and personable. They care about their patients and want them as healthy as they possibly can be. Right away they ordered comprehensive blood tests and xrays, some I had left undone for years. I am so blessed to be one of their patients!

i found out I was pregnant with my first child 7 months ago . at the time I had no health insurance and was referred to the BBC. I met with Dr Emma who on my first visit spent most of my 7 min appointment fighting on the phone with her child who apparently didn't go to school. she never accurately answered ANY of my questions or concerns being a first time mom to be. I decided that changing my Dr would be best since I was confident I could successfully deliver this baby better than she could. well I wasn't far off, after calling everyday for 3 weeks it took me showing up to demanding a copy of my records to finally get proper care from another facility. I registered with a new ob at 30 weeks pregnant to find out that Dr Emma isn't even allowed to see patients over 20 weeks becauae she is not qualified. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW!!!. . needless to say if you're reading this or considering go to this practice I strongly advise you not to!!!

TERRIBLE customer service!! I called twice & left voicemails to make a new customer appointment. No one called me back for 3 days even though their line says someone will return your call in 24 hours. When someone finally did call me back, she left a voicemail entirely in Spanish, so I could not understand anything she told me. I called back and got ahold of customer service to explain. The representative I got was very short with me & rude while taking my info and after back & forth of her giving me completely different information than their website lists, I was hung up on mid sentence.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
