Review by Purvi Vaidya

I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. The flare was in control, but the symptoms were lingering - feeling full, not having clean bowel movements and occasional blood in stools. I had tried some self-administered natural herbal treatments such as oregano oil and probiotics. The staff is a very loving and caring family at Aspire Natural Health. Dr. G is always patient, listens, goes deeper than just the superficial symptoms and tries to connect mind-body-lifestyle together. This is key in ensuring that the positive effects sustain. Dr. G is also not pushy at all and asks for opinions all the time. He is great at keeping and taking notes, so there is a history to look at and refer to as your treatment progresses. Another awesome thing is that Dr. G combines natural treatment with scientific approach and uses tests to measure progress and adjust treatment. My life is different now for the better because I feel less full and can eat better. I feel more in control of what works for me and what doesn't. Dr. G is awesome at listening, so please share the details/symptoms/changes you go through. Be the part of the process and help him help you.

I really appreciated Dr. Gerstmar's authentic, comprehensive, and balanced approach to handling the treatment of my case. He made me feel supported throughout the entire process and continued to advance his knowledge base to ensure he was covering all angles of its complication.

I came to Dr. Gerstmar to get a second opinion on some chronic health issues such as Hashimoto's, leaky gut, adrenal fatigue etc. I was working with several other practitioners and was getting conflicting advice so he helped me clarify which course of action I should take. I appreciate his comprehensive "think outside the box" approach. Dr. Gerstmar is passionate about his work, very knowledgeable, and keeps himself current on all the latest developments in the world of functional medicine. Thanks Dr. G!

My son Max's gut health has gotten steadily and significantly better with Dr. Gerstmar's help. Dr. Gerstmar's knowledge is extensive yet he is always open to looking at supplements, protocols and ideas that I come across (I read a lot about autism) which I think might help Max. I also appreciate how much time Dr. Gerstmar spends on reviewing possible lab test that might provide useful information; he explains what the lab test covers, what the results will show and how beneficial the information is compared to the cost of the labs. Since working with Dr. Gerstmar Max's gut dysbiosis has resolved, gut inflammation is significantly reduced, Max's digestion is vastly improved and his skills and cognition are improving daily. I am so grateful I found Dr. Gerstmar!

Dr. Tim Gerstmar of Aspire Natural Health is hands down THE best doctor I have ever had the pleasure of working with (since summer 2012). Tim is very personable, easy to talk to, and he really wants to hear your story...about who you are...not just what ailments you have. He is very knowledgeable and professional. Tim is fun to work with and makes getting healthy more enjoyable; we actually laugh alot when I see him! :) Dr. Gerstmar prefers a natural route to cleaning up health issues but does understand the necessity of prescription medications and will go that route when needed. Thank you, Dr. Gerstmar, for making me feel like a new woman! You will always be my doctor of choice! You are AMAZING!

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
