I've been going to this gallery since I was young. Probably cause it's the only one like it that's a true gallery. They have classes there. And always have a exhibit show up in the gallery. I would really like to see some fresh young work in there. Its very baby boomer art haha. Watercolors of landscapes or grapes. Some pop art, or some good Edgy work would be a nice change from a quilt show. I love any gallery for what they do for helping the "art scene" in this town. But it's stuffy to me. I always feel like I know what I'm likely going to see. I know they have operating costs, (and are volunteer run which is awesome!) But I still feel like they charge the showing artists too much of a commission. I've taken classes here, and love it. So supporting this place is still something I try to do, because we need more classes available for everyone! Enjoy the local art 😊🎨

Nice gallery. However, I removed my art because they never showcased me individually as other galleries do. Their percentage is higher than other galleries forcing me to raise my prices or take a cut. High prices cause customers to not purchase hurting us both. My art needs to be in someone's possession, not to stay in a showcase. Selling my art at a reduced rate cheapens my work.

Great place but not open Sundays like they say they are

Local artists in a well thought out space. Enter through the gallery store, browse the large selection of art, ceramics, fiber, metal, wood, glass, photography, the list goes on and on. We picked up a beautiful burlwood vase, and thought the price was reasonable. The exhibit gallery was ample. Well worth visiting. Street parking and a small public lot across the street, may need to pay but not much.

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
