This was an amazing experience from the initial set up to the actual appointment. Very qualified and welcoming staff, with a nice atmosphere-both in the waiting area and in the exam room. While checking in, I mentioned being tired from working all day after going to Universal Sudios the day before and they offered me to be able to rest in one of the rooms until the doctor was ready. I was fine waiting on the lobby but I thought it was a very nice offer! Kim at the front desk was amazing and very helpful. The actual doctor spent time going over information with me and listening to my history in order to provide a reasonable recommendation that would work for my needs. I'm very grateful for this experience and look forward to future visits to the office.

Excellent experience! Super-knowledgeable staff and doctors; very helpful team. Great usage of technology to make the flow of paperwork and records easy. No clipboards and redundant forms to write out.

I am always impressed when we visit. The office staff are very efficient and knowledgeable. My daughter is the patient, she suffers from epilepsy and autism. While we can't say the medical marijuana has completely eliminated her seizures, it does seem to help to lessen them. I believe medical marijuana does have excellent medicinal qualities and will eventually be legal in the entire country

My first contact was with Kim Poole, the receptionist. She was just lovely and made my appointment and told me what I needed to bring with me. Got to my appointment and met Kim. She made the whole process quite easy, since she did all the work with the application and calling the state for information. I then saw Dr. Chiu, also lovely and extremely informative. She reviewed my medical history and determined what “stuff” and dosage I should be on for my medical condition. All was explained in much detail. Now all I need is my license from the state. Let’s see if they will be as lovely!

What is a Dispensary?

A dispensary is a store that sells special items or dispenses the specialized items. Cannabis or marijuana dispensariers started in the US some time in the early 1990’s when Dennis Peron opend the San Francisro Cannbis Buyers Club. Back then the cannabis dispensary faced a ton of hardships, but Dennis, his team and dream helped pave the future for all future recreational and medical cannabis dispensaries. In 2014 the first recreational dispensary, 3D Cannabis opened it’s doors in Colorado. As of 4-1-19 33 states have medical dispensaries and 10 states have recreational dispensaries.

At a dispnsary one will find many differnt kinds of cannabis flowers (buds) and concentrates, edibles along with smoking untensils, but have a limited selection compared to online shops like Elev8 Glass Gallery. The dispensary also will have what is called a budtender to help you find what you are looking for. If you need help with cannabis info Elev8 Presents is a good resource.

What is the difference between a medical or recreational dispensary?

In realtiy medical and recreational dispensaries are the same thing. This all comes down to the states laws on cannabis. We feel cannabis is just like alcohol and medical will happen first and then recreational will follow, and so far history is showing this. Dispensaries are an excellent place for patients and recreational smokers alike to find the cannabis that best suits their needs!
